Mafrids is handmade on Gotland from solid oak or birch, with each table characterized by an uncompromising attention to detail. The tabletop is solid and well-balanced, resting on a leg frame where every part is dimensioned to create stability without weighing down the expression. The legs are positioned so that exactly two Lansa Chairs fit between each pair — a deliberate and practical design choice.

The innovative solution for extension leaves makes Mafrids both flexible and aesthetically consistent: the leaves slide into steel profiles recessed into the table’s short sides, and when removed, the supports fold into the construction — all without visible holes or fittings. The wood grain on the extensions runs perpendicular to the tabletop grain — a deliberate aesthetic choice to prevent the wood from warping during use.
