We believe in creating furniture that both withstands and deserves daily use. Our solid wood desks are designed to meet the demands of everyday life — with an aesthetic that enhances the room they occupy. Whether you work from home, write, sketch, or simply need a place for focus and reflection, a G.A.D desk offers a stable, beautiful, and inspiring workspace. Each desk is made from wood species such as birch and oak — carefully selected for their durability and visual qualities. The solid wood makes each desk unique, with natural variations in grain and tone that only grow more beautiful with age.
G.A.D desks feature a clean, balanced design language where details like joints, fittings, and drawers are as thoughtfully considered as the overall form. Some models include integrated drawers or shelves — perfect for keeping essentials close at hand without compromising the desk’s airy feel. These are the kind of desks that stand firm, both physically and aesthetically. They take up space without overpowering it, harmonizing with the rest of your home — whether placed in a dedicated workspace, living room, or a design-conscious office.
Since we produce our desks ourselves on Gotland, you have the opportunity to influence many of the details. Dimensions, wood type, finish — everything can be tailored to ensure the desk fits your home and daily life perfectly. Choose an oiled surface for a deeper tone, or a soaped finish for a softer, lighter expression. Regardless of finish, you’ll get a solid wood desk built with respect for the material, the user, and the environment.
When you choose a desk from G.A.D, you invest in a piece that will accompany you for many years. Our furniture is built to age beautifully — not to be replaced. With timeless design, solid natural materials, and traditional joinery, you get a product where every detail has been thoughtfully crafted.

G.A.D was founded in 1997 as a reaction against the growing trend of mass production. Our founder, Kristian Eriksson, was a creative and artistic designer who sought what he called 'genuine furniture' – furniture of the highest quality, handcrafted from solid natural materials.
